What is the best industrial fruit and vegetable washing machine? The short answer? There is no single "universal" washer that handles every type of produce. Choosing the right equipment depends on produce type, cleaning requirements, production volume, and more. This buyer’s guide breaks down washing technologies based on produce type, working mechanism, and processing line setup.

1. Leafy Green Vegetable --- Air Bubble Washing Machine

A leafy green vegetable washing machine typically uses an air bubble washing system to clean vegetables gently and efficiently. Using air bubble agitation and water circulation, it cleans delicate leaves while minimizing mechanical damage.

Suitable for: Spinach, lettuce, celery, leafy herbs, berries (strawberries, cherry tomatoes), mangoes, and more.

Air is injected into the water tank, creating rolling bubbles that gently loosen sand, insects, dirt, and surface residues without damaging soft leaves. After bubble washing, a mesh conveyor lifts the vegetables out, and spray nozzles provide a final fresh-water rinse. Heavy impurities settle at the bottom, while floating debris is removed through the overflow outlet.

2. Root Vegetable Washing Machine

We offer two main solutions for root vegetables: brush washing machine and a rotary drum washing machine.

1. Brush washing machine

Uses rotating nylon brush rollers combined with top spray jets. It cleans via mechanical friction, making it dual-functional for both washing and peeling depending on brush hardness.

Ideal for almost all root vegetables, especially irregular or bumpy ones, including potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, radishes, beetroots, ginger, yam, and lotus root.

Brush roller washing machine can peel skins with hard brushes. If you are looking for a washing and peeling machine, then choose brush washing machine.

2. Rotary Drum Washing Machine

Uses a rotating mesh drum that tumbles produce in water or under high-pressure spray. It cleans through self-friction and water impact without stripping outer skins, focusing on high-capacity dirt removal.

Suitable for potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, radishes, cassava, beetroots, peanuts, and more.
